This is not the first time I've worked with Ept (better known as "Joel Feitzinger"), but it's the first time I've seen him so engrossed in his work. After seeing him write music for our band Niko Tinbergen, and through other various avenues, it becomes clear that he is not just an excellent musician, but a skilled and innovative composer. Somehow, he got his hands on approximately 5 tons of electronic music items (most of which is cryptic and probably magical), and began to experiment. Imagine a mad scientist flipping a large switch over some sort of drumk-kit-guitar-pedal Frankenstein monster. Seriously.

Joel's work is experimental and draws from alot of different musical influences. He changes styles adeptly from song to song, or within songs, and mixes different compositional elements with different musical elements to craft a unique electronica-based fusion. I can't begin to describe it, since I'm hardly qualified, but it's enjoyable, interesting, and well worth the time it takes to listen. He devotes an incredible amount of work on composition and performance, and it shows in the quality, diversity, and unique style of his music.
